Disabled people

Internationaal Theater Amsterdam has excellent facilities for disabled visitors. If you have difficulty walking or use a wheelchair, we ask you to report this in advance to our cashiers, so we can assist you.

To the halls

A lift will take you to the Grote Zaal. There are disabled toilets. On the first balcony, places are reserved for wheelchair users. If you want to reserve one of these places, please mention this when making your reservation or placing your ticket order. The Rabozaal is accessible by lifts. There are special wheelchair spots. There is also a disabled toilet. If you want to reserve one of these places, please mention this when making your reservation or placing your ticket order.

For people who have difficulty walking, it is good to know that there is still quite a distance to walk from the lift to the Rabozaal.

Wheelchair users

ITA is easily accessible for wheelchair users. There is an adapted lift and an adapted toilet. Each of our two halls has special places for wheelchair users. In order to be able to make these available, we kindly request that you always inform the cashier in advance that you are a wheelchair user. You can book these special places by telephone at the box office +31 (0) 20 624 23 11.

Mobility scooters are not allowed inside for safety reasons. We are happy to provide you with a wheelchair for transport to the hall.

Hard of hearing

Special hearing loops are available in both rooms. You can get a device from the cloakroom (if you wear a hearing aid) or an earpiece (if you do not have a hearing aid). There are no extra costs. We do, however, request a valid proof of identity as collateral.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome, provided you notify the cash desk of their arrival in advance.
