Fractal Dance Collective
Breaking Out
The break dancers from Fractal Dance Collective tell an exciting story about breaking through rules and boundaries. They combine hip hop, contemporary dance and personal experiences in a performance about the continual search for freedom. Is that an escape from reality or precisely a way of finding yourself? Their acrobatic style was developed on the street. Then their ambition brought them to the theatre, where they tell up-to-date stories.
Sarah Ringoet
Latch
Since 2002, Flemish Sarah Ringoet has more or less been working in the shelter of a beautiful oeuvre of intimate theatre performances. Linguistic or purely physical, or both. 'Poetic mime', a critic called it. Ringoet created Latch especially for her compatriots Charles Pas and Niek Vanoosterweyck, 3rd year students at the Mime Training course in Amsterdam. In this duet, Ringoet goes in search of the physical extremes and the similarities of the two performers.
