Celeste Jennings
Celeste is a NY-based costume designer and playwright. Recent and upcoming design work includes: Fun Home (Huntington), Furlough's Paradise (Geffen); minor.ity (WP); Appropriate (Old Globe); Fat Ham (Huntington Theatre, The Alliance); Blues in the Night (Alabama Shakespeare Festival); Malvolio, Memnon (Classical Theatre of Harlem); Dangerous Days (Miami New Drama); Into the Side of a Hill (Flint Rep); Pride & Prejudice, Footloose, Jitney, Hello Dolly (Arkansas Rep); Finding Freedom (Charleston Gailliard Center). Asst./Assoc. credits with Paloma Young, Susan Hilferty, Anita Yavich, Jennifer Moeller. Most recently, she was selected as a 2050 Fellow at NYTW, Public EWG member, and a Terrence McNally Fellow. Her play Bov Water was produced at Northern Stage, and she developed her play, Contentious Woman, with PlayCo. MFA in Costume Design, NYU Tisch.
