ITA-Academy

An evening at ITA is more than just a performance. ITA-Academy offers space for exploration and advancement. An ongoing dialogue with our audience and colleagues about inspiration, social developments and theatre-making.

You can gain more in-depth knowledge through video introductions, podcasts, discussions afterwards and through our context programmes. Students can follow workshops at the ITA-Academy. Each year, we put on special performances with young people. Amateurs can follow master classes, or play in one of our theatres.

As a professional, ITA-Academy has a lot to offer too. Besides being a training institute, ITA-Academy is the centre of the theatre tradition in the Netherlands. In our monumental theatre in the heart of the city of Amsterdam, you will find a large historical collection of paintings of actors in the Netherlands. We feel part of that history, of which we are proud.
