Jip van den Dool

Jip van den Dool grew up in Groningen. After preliminary theatre training at De Noorderlingen and his VWO diploma, he immediately started at the Toneelacademie Maastricht and graduated from the acting school in 2014.

In 2014, together with Nick Bos and Mathieu Wijdeven, he won Via Rudolphi's ‘Het Debuut’ award for best own work with the performance ‘NXT LVL’.

From 2014 to 2018, he was part of the ensemble of Toneelgroep Amsterdam and performed in several productions and reprises, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

In season 24/25 he can be seen in the revival of Client E. Busken (director Maria Kraakman).

Since then, he has played at among others Toneelschuur Producties, Theater Rotterdam and Firma Mes and at various festivals such as Oerol, Over het IJ, Down the Rabbit Hole, Boulevard and the Jonge Harten Festival.

He has worked with Ivo van Hove, Guy Cassiers, Eric de Vroedt, Olivier Diepenhorst, Belle van Heerikhuizen, Maren E. Bjørseth and Erik Whien, to name a few.

From 2013 to 2019, he was a regular in the Orkater collective Lars Doberman. Since 2016, Jip has been actively involved with Orkater, playing, developing, writing and composing with them in various productions. He was part of Nacht van de Collectieven (2016) and Boulevard of Broken Scenes (2018).
