Urmie Plein

Urmie Plein graduated from the Actor Course at the Utrecht School of the Arts in 1993. Since then, she has appeared in various theatre performances, films and series. Between 2011 and 2016, Urmie played the role of Dolores de Vroom in the successful TV series A'dam-E.V.A. In recent years she has appeared in series such as Dertigers, K van Karlijn, Red Light, ANNE+, De Twaalf van Schouwendam and Ik Weet Wie Je Bent. In the field of film, Urmie has appeared in, among others, Alleen maar nette mensen by Lodewijk Crijns, April May and June by Will Koopman, Rafaël by Ben Sombogaart and Bloody Marie by Guido van Driel and Lennert Hillege. In the theater Urmie performed in the thunderous solo performance Suriname Monologen about the famous freedom fighter Anton de Kom. She also appeared in the performance Vallende Man by Julien Gosselin at ITA and in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time directed by Pieter Kramer. In 2022, Urmie can be seen in the performance Ik Zeg Toch Sorry by Theater Group Aluin and Raymi Sambo Maakt. In the autumn, she will appear in the revival of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. She can also be seen in the television series Sihame and in the film Pink Moon by Floor van der Meulen.

In season 23|24, Urmie can be seen at ITA in the revival of The Doctor (directed by Robert Icke).
