City Talks Amsterdam: Recipes for Change

What can we learn from the ways we cook, care, and create together? In this edition of City Talks, we invite artists, thinkers, and doers to explore how shared practices can craft more just and connected futures. From decolonising the kitchen to rethinking our relationship with nature, we’ll ask what it means to nourish change - and how food, stories, and collective action can help us build more sustainable futures.

Recipes for Change

This edition of City Talks is part of Brandhaarden Festival 2026 and inspired by Le Lasagne della Nonna, a performance by Massimo Furlan and Claire de Ribaupierre about memory, migration, and belonging. Drawing connections between food, heritage, and sustainability, the performance invites us to reflect on how shared rituals and intergenerational stories can help us imagine new ways of living together. Le Lasagne della Nonna plays on February 4 and 5 at ITA.
