Closed Eyes
Are you brave enough to really listen to yourself? To the inner voices that tell you to flee from what you don't want to face, or that call you back to what is important? In Closed Eyes, Alida Dors invites you to shut yourself off from all daily stimuli. Open your eyes and dare to dream.

Closed Eyes
A young man descends to the place where the lure is audible to him: in the depths of Suriname's Brokopondo reservoir, where his ancestors once lived. With poetic dance, film images, rousing live music and powerful spoken word by Alida Dors herself, seven dancers and three musicians immerse you in a magical parallel universe.

For Closed Eyes, Dors went to Suriname with a crew. They filmed over Ganzee, the village of her ancestors, which disappeared under the waters of the reservoir. "My ancestors dreamed for their grandchildren. I wanted to go back to the place where they dreamed, where they lived.'
