EUTERPIANS
Choreographers Andrea Leine and Harijono Roebana were recently awarded Prijs van Verdienste van Dansersfonds’79, founded by the renowned ballet couple Alexandra Radius and Han Ebbelaar. for their contributions to Dutch dance. The jury report praised their "impressive performances, which are always entirely unique and often show a surprising interaction between dance and a wide variety of musical styles."

That certainly applies to the new dance and music performance EUTERPIANS, where a collaboration is established with three equally outstanding and diverse musicians: featuring vocalist Elisabeth Hetherington, in whom a dazzling soprano resides, renowned cellist Maya Fridman, and percussionist Marianna Soroka playing earthy sounds and who is equally at ease on keyboard, vibraphone, or psaltery. Together with the choreographers and dancers of LeineRoebana, they take the feminine in art and life as their starting point. Not consistently or exhaustively, but self-assuredly, naturally, and with gentle irony, women take the lead.
