Johnny
Do you want to see an absurdist show full of breakdance, comedy, stunts, and spectacle? After the success of CONTROLE (winner of the Gouden Krekel 2023), breakdance collective 155 presents their new show JOHNNY.

JOHNNY
In this show, five stuntmen — with balls of steel (and maybe a bit of brain damage) — are waiting for their big moment in an action movie. But between the backflips, wipeouts, and bursts of laughter, some deeper questions emerge: How many hits do you have to take to prove you're not a pussy? How do you stay true to yourself when you're always in someone else’s shadow?

And more importantly: what’s the point of a perfectly executed stunt if you’ve been ghosted by your ex?
Think: Jackass meets Buster Keaton meets Vluchtstrook.
Reviews
De Volkskrant
“‘Johnny’ by breakdance collective 155 shows the sadness of tough stuntmen through slappedstick."

"Kamikaze-like ode to the anonymous stuntman."
1e rang
"JOHNNY is (...) another absolute showstopper from dance collective 155."

"The stuntman runs the risks, while the Arnold Schwarzeneggers and Brad Pitts of this world take credit."
NRC Handelsblad
“Think Jiskefet, think Jackass, think Maaskantje ánd think breakdance. Or is it mime, comedy, contemporary dance? Breakdance collective 155 is it all, and all just not. If it makes us laugh really hard ourselves, it's good.”
