Maarten delivered a phenomenal portrayal of this unique artist in the TV series Ramses, while Cor had the honor of accompanying the real Ramses on several occasions. This results in wonderful anecdotes and, of course, truly beautiful music—not just the well-known songs, but also many hidden gems still undiscovered by the wider public.
In addition to Ramses’ work, the show also features repertoire by Maarten van Roozendaal and Jacques Brel. In short: a delightful performance full of emotion, humor, captivating stories, and above all, stunning music!

Ramses Shaffy’s musical legacy will echo through the corridors of ITA on Monday 20 April during a performance by the cabaret collective Maison Chanson. This dynamic young group will take you on a journey through their interpretation of Shaffy’s repertoire, providing you with a healthy dose of energy and musical enthusiasm. Cabaret lives on! Maison Chanson is a cabaret collective comprising four passionate young singers and theatre makers: Roman Derwig, Dim Koning, Timo Dries and Marit Oudshoorn. Roman Derwig previously performed at ITA in Prophet Song and Dim Koning in Weg met Eddy. -|-
During their studies at the Amsterdam Theatre School and Cabaret Academy, these four found common ground in their shared love for Dutch and French-language songs of life. They perform full-length programmes in churches throughout the Netherlands, featuring a wide selection of chansons and cabaret songs. From Jacques Brel to Maarten van Roozendaal, from Piaf to Shaffy.
