You can discover and purchase old set pieces and costumes from ITA, as well as unique items crafted from repurposed flags and banners. Pieces that once brought colour to the festival or the theatre are given a new story, finding their way from the stage into everyday life. The market reflects the working methods of Théâtre Vidy‑Lausanne, the company at the heart of this year’s Brandhaarden festival, where sustainability and mindful use of materials are an integral part of the artistic process.
Workshop
De Steek Amsterdam is hosting a beginner-friendly sewing workshop where you’ll create a unique, one‑of‑a‑kind tote bag made from old ITA and Théâtre Vidy‑Lausanne banners and flags.
At De Steek Amsterdam, you can learn everything from crocheting and knitting to sewing, repairing, and upcycling your own clothing. During this special workshop at ITA, you’ll get hands‑on experience with a sewing machine and learn the basics of sewing. No prior experience is required.
