During The Edge of Things is all about the new generation of dancers. Ethan Colangelo is creating a new performance for NDT 2 for the first time. Choreographer Jermaine Spivey challenges the dancers and the audience with his playful, innovative and surprising style. And in addition, NDT 2 brings Alexander Ekman's joyful and quirky FIT (2018) back to the stage.

The Edge of Things
Ethan Colangelo is an exciting new choreographer at NDT. He explores contrasts in feeling, such as calm and chaos or happiness and turmoil. His style is a mix of contemporary and urban dance. This season he presents his first world premiere for NDT 2.
Jermaine Spivey debuted at NDT 2in 2022 and has grown into an innovative choreographer. He combines structure with spontaneity and uses improvisation to approach dance in surprising ways.

FIT (2018) by Alexander Ekman is a playful and energetic performance about harmony: what if everything is right, and what if it isn't? Set to jazzy sounds of Take Five, this lively choreography comes to life, with humor, striking costumes and a good dose of absurdism.
