Theatercollege Japke-d. Bouma- Vrouwen en mannen op het werk
Research shows that women behave differently from men at work. For example, women tend to downplay themselves more often than men, men are on average more likely to bluff than women, and women are interrupted more frequently when speaking — just to name a few examples.

Vrouwen en mannen op het werk: Mannen komen niet van Venus en vrouwen ook niet.
In this theatre lecture, Japke-d . Bouma explores both science and language to trace the origins of these 'differences'. For example, the word ''bossy'' is almost exclusively used for women, an angry man is simply called ''angry'', whereas an angry women is labeled ''hysterical.'' And while being ''one of the boys'' is considered cool for a women, being called ''one of the girls'' is seen as an insult for a man.
But she also shares her dream. She firmly believes that if women and men work together more equally, work becomes more enjoyable, companies achieve better results, and both women and men experience greater job satisfaction.

In fact, scientific research supports this. As a bonus, you’ll also receive the much-talked-about "bluffing course for women by Japke-d. Bouma" (highly recommended for men too!).
After the theatre lecture, there will be a Meet & Greet (a cringeworthy term, as Japke-d. would say) and a book signing with Japke-d. Bouma.
