KIEM
After BROOS (2019), which looked at the vulnerability of life, KIEM is about the will to escape from what stops you, about the urge to break out, to fill the body with fresh air and with renewed energy to embrace unprecedented opportunities.
A performance about resilience, zest for life and vitality.
After BROOS (2019), which looked at the vulnerability of life, KIEM is about the will to escape from what stops you, about the urge to break out, to fill the body with fresh air and with renewed energy to embrace unprecedented opportunities.
Janssen said about BROOS: 'Babies, toddlers, teenagers, young parents, the elderly: every phase of life has a different fragility'. A personal source of inspiration was the implosive life of her elderly mother, the embodiment of the concept of 'brittle'. KIEM arose as a reaction to this intense process and is a celebration of vitality.
The work of Conny Janssen, beloved for its strong physical and theatrical strength and surprising diversity, has received many awards and can be seen at various festivals. Conny Janssen Danst is also a breeding ground for young talent. Both young dancers and young dance makers are given the opportunity to develop within the professional environment of the company. This makes the company an important ambassador of modern dance.

Recensies
- Theaterkrant
