Uit het hoofd

A child lives with her 22-year-old father “who has something wrong with him” and her 19-year-old mother “who can't help it either” in the back room of grandma in post-war Rotterdam.

When the child was six weeks old, her father drew a moustache on her face, which made the family laugh. The baby thought, oh, they're laughing. Then it is already determined. I'm going to be an artist. Well, go on then.

In Uit Het Hoofd an actress does not look for an answer to the question: who am I, but she gets that answer anyway.
