Welkom in de Noordside
Amsterdam is growing and thriving, but for whom? The hip-hop-inspired grassroots organisation Verdedig Noord fights for a city of solidarity through art, campaigns and activism. On 30 March, they welcome visitors of festival Lieve Stad, to the Noordside with a hip-hop theatre concert that is a fist in the air as well as a heartfelt plea for everyone who loves and wants to love the city.

Festival Lieve Stad,
Amsterdam is a city of many faces. Lieve Stad, – a celebration of theatre, art, and dialogue – reflects the dynamics of that metropolitan environment, in which the city itself is a source of inspiration. This festival, a collaboration between ITA and Meervaart, is about bringing people together, in the city, in the theatre, in society. How do we live together and what stories do all individuals and groups carry with them?
