Winq Awards 2025
Winq

On Friday, September 26, 2025, Winq, the largest queer magazine in the Netherlands, will present the Winq Awards for the seventh time to people and organizations that are committed to the queer community.

Check out the lineup below, and if you want a sneak peek, watch last year’s aftermovie at the bottom of this page!

Please note that tickets are unplaced.

Rik van de Westelaken

Rik van de Westelaken presents, among others, EenVandaag and Wie is de Mol. He is replacing Claudia de Breij, who is unfortunately unable to attend due to voice problems.

JJ

This year, the Austrian JJ became the third consecutive queer artist to win the Eurovision Song Contest. He did so with his song Wasted Love, which he will of course perform at the Winq Awards, alongside his new single Back To Forgetting!

Jeangu Macrooy

This summer, Jeangu Macrooy shines as Orpheus in the musical Hadestown. In October, his fourth album Young, Awkward & Lonely will be released, featuring the queer anthem Independent Girls and Nasty Evil Gays. You can, of course, hear that hit live at the Winq Awards!

Huize Lucas

The musicians of Huize Lucas take you on a Dutch-language journey full of dreampop and queer funk. With swinging brass, a singing band, and their energetic performance, Lucas and his band give the pop scene a fresh twist. Expect a poetic, funky mix of Wende, Prince, and Connie Palmen that will make you laugh, cry, dance, and sing along.

Dance: Quincy & Hugo

You may have spotted this dance earlier this year during the Pride Amsterdam boat parade. On the winning Aidsfonds boat, Love Saves Lives – Chapter White by dancer Vincenzo Turiano (seen last year at the Winq Awards) went viral. On the ITA stage, Quincy and Hugo bring this powerful statement of love, support, and visibility to life.

Kyara

Kyara is a versatile artist and performer who effortlessly blends different genres. With powerful, often humorous lyrics and fiery performances, she honors the femme queen legacy and gives a voice to marginalized communities.
