Zin in liefde
Zin in liefde is a performance that moves, enchants and at the same time inspires to give everything. Igone is assisted by the greatest talents from home and abroad. Together they create a new 'fusion' ballet, an exciting and daring mix between classical ballet and modern theatre dance.

Zin in liefde
For almost a quarter of a century, prima ballerina Igone de Jongh danced with the Dutch National Ballet, where she worked with seasoned and world-renowned choreographers. In her own show Zin in liefde, she wanted to be choreographed by two young up-and-coming talents: Simone Repele and Sasha Riva, the latter of whom also dances with her in the show. In addition, Igone is flanked on stage by several dancers from the dance company in exile The United Ukrainian Ballet Company, co-founded by her.-|-
The performance Zin in liefde is inspired by the phenomenon of the 'diva'. Divas such as Judy Garland, Édith Piaf, Maria Callas and Whitney Houston. Through the eyes of the diva, we look back on a life of extremes. Her performances enchant us, she shines and lights up our lives. But we also experience the sacrifices: the total surrender to her talent, her missteps and her dramatic loves. These are the themes that seem inseparable from the diva phenomenon. And yet, we forgive her everything, because her dedication and talent show us something of the secret of life.
