Majd Mardo

Majd Mardo (1989) has joined the ensemble in season 18|19.

In season 20|21 he will perform in the premieres of Romeo and Julia (director Michiel van Erp) and Age of Rage (director Ivo van Hove) and The hours (director Eline Arbo), in the revivals of The hidden force and The things that pass and in the ITALive of Roman tragedies.

Mardo played before at ITA in The things that pass, The cherry orchard and The Homecoming.

C.V.

After his training at Youth Theatre Groningen, Majd attended the Theatre School Maastricht, graduating in 2013. He is a talented stage actor and played in various plays by Het Nationale Theater, de Toneelmakerij and De Nationale Reisopera.

Besides theatre, he has played different roles in film and television productions like Overspel, Nachtoord and Kamp Holland. Majd wants to use his talent to bring a little joy in the lives of children who are in need, therefore he started the youth care organization Icarus. The last years he starred in the praised topical theatre plays Nobody Home and Jihad. This year he played in Germany with Jamal and will play in Kinderen van Judas by Jeroen de Man. He also stars in the films Like Me by Annemarie van de Mond and Jungle by Hetty de Kruijf for which he won a Golden Calf - Dutch Film Award - for Best Actor.
