Philo van Lint

Philo van Lint (b. 2010) is nine years old when teachers at the National Ballet Academy notice his talent and invite him to audition.

From that moment on, his days are filled with long hours of dance and technical training. He shines in productions such as Mata Hari and The Nutcracker and the Mouse King with Dutch National Ballet, and quickly feels at home on the stage of the Stopera. Performances including Dansers van Morgen, as well as a foray into a dance film adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, make one thing abundantly clear: he wants to be in the theatre.

In the 2023–2024 season, Philo is given the opportunity to perform in No Ponies by Alex Klaasen. It is a wonderful chance that broadens his perspective on the profession. Alex’s versatility is inspiring and, besides being highly instructive, it is above all great fun to be part of the production. After this experience, Philo shifts his focus from dancing to acting.

Being able to perform at ITA is therefore a dream come true.

Philo van Lint will appear in the 2025–2026 season in the premiere of The Architect (directed by Rebecca Frecknall).
