Erik of het klein insectenboek
Erik is an imaginative little boy who is fascinated by insects. When he suddenly shrinks to the size of a fly, Erik finds himself in the city park. He has bizarre adventures among blades of grass taller than houses. In this wonderful world, the insects look suspiciously like humans.
Erik encounters pint-sized wasps, a carefree mayfly, an activist ladybird, gets caught in a spider's web, is rescued by a cockroach and sleeps in the boarding house for critters on the run.

Gradually, Erik discovers that the insects have great difficulty surviving. There is rubbish everywhere and people spray poison. Can Erik save himself and the insects?
This spectacular road movie show full of music, dance and a great cast is a must see for the whole family. Director Noël Fischer and lyricist Jibbe Willems work together again after several successful performances, with all kinds of things to do in the foyers around the themes that recur in the show, such as climate change, bee mortality and litter.

Insect booklet with Naturalis
In addition to the performance, a playful insect booklet has been created in collaboration with Naturalis Biodiversity Centre and is available in all theatres. In this booklet, you will get to know six insects a little better. You might turn out to have a lot in common with a cockroach! Or you might be totally on the same page with a mayfly. Maybe... you will even start to like insects a bit.
