On 12 November 2026, the fourteenth edition of the Science Gala will take place. During this festive evening, we reflect on the role of science in a world in constant motion. Together with curator and historian Beatrice de Graaf, we explore the state of the world. From geopolitical tensions to medical innovation, and from climate change to technological revolutions: we live in a time of major challenges and breakthroughs.-|-
The present demands knowledge, insight, curiosity, nuance and imagination. Science, and scientists in particular, are essential in this: as a compass, as a critical voice, and as a source of hope. At the Science Gala, leading thinkers and researchers share their perspectives on today’s, and tomorrow’s world. Expect an evening full of new insights, multidisciplinary presentations, energetic music and much more.
About the curator
Beatrice de Graaf is a historian and curator of the Science Gala 2026. She specializes in security, crisis and international relations, and is known for connecting historical perspectives with contemporary developments.
