Homesickness is of all ages and all cultures. We all know, in our own way, the feeling of homesickness. Of longing for home, of being alienated and uprooted. These recognisable emotions are the basis of The Homesickness Project, which can be seen in ITA from Friday 25 March to Sunday 3 April during the Lieve Stad, festival.
The Homesickness Project consists of the Homesickness Exhibition with personal stories and photographs of Amsterdammers, the Homesickness Chandelier with everyday homesick objects and the Homesickness coming out where visitors of ITA can tell their own stories of in front of a camera. The time schedule is listed below.
If you would like to share your story with us, please bring your personal Homesickness object and tell us about it in our small studio under the stairs near the cloakroom. Maybe your story will be the focus of the next Homesickness Exhibition.
