Glen Faria grew up in the city, shaped by a strong mother, family, friends and the raw energy of his neighbourhood. From his father he received an imaginary box filled with lessons about how a “man” is supposed to be. When his own son reaches adulthood, he decides to open that box again.

In MALEBOX, Glen Faria explores what masculinity means when you choose not to pass it on unquestioningly. Together with the ZO! Gospel Choir, he takes the audience through memories, choices and moments that shaped him as a son, father and man.-|-
The performance moves between music and theatre, driven by the fast-paced, energetic direction of Priscilla Vaudelle. What begins as a personal search grows into a broader story about upbringing, identity and what we leave behind for the next generation.
About Glen Faria
Glen Faria is a singer, rapper, songwriter and theatre maker. He became known with Flinke Namen and as co-founder of Likeminds. Since his solo work, he has created personal music and theatre projects, including Hoe Weet Je Dat?.
About Priscilla Vaudelle
Priscilla Vaudelle makes theatre rooted in the city and its people. She works with fast-paced editing, music and movement, telling stories close to lived experience.
