Origin
An absurdist satire and a quest for hope in dark times. Origin is created by three emerging avant-garde choreographers who take a critical view of society in their work. After winning world's most prestigious dance prize, Sarah Baltzinger, Isaiah Wilson and Olivia Court Mesa are now presenting two world premieres at Scapino. Both dance pieces will be featured in one program alongside a connecting dance film curated by the Cinedans film festival, exploring similar themes.

Origin
In the piece GOATS by the French/Luxembourgish duo Sarah Baltzinger and Isaiah Wilson, the main character is plunged into a hallucinatory world filled with paranoia and delusions. Through an absurd lens, viewers are encouraged to accompany the dancers as they navigate between reality and illusion. GOATS is an imaginative satire on modern-day society and the psychology of the masses.
In The breakable us, Chilean-Israeli artist Olivia Court Mesa delves into the physical and psychological response to tragedy and chaos. She reflects on collective trauma, survival, and the transition from darkness to color. Through her raw and intuitive style, she delivers a compelling statement on human resilience and hope.
