OWRU Live
During this OWRU Special, LFMC engages in a conversation about the creative process behind the exhibition Toys Are Us—an exhibition in which Dutch history and stories of historical figures play a central role.
How much artistic freedom do you take as a maker when telling these stories from your own perspective? And how do we relate to historiography as defined by the Dutch canon? The discussion also explores how makers approach this from the discipline of theatre—a field in which artists are always in dialogue with repertoire, the writer’s past, previous productions, and other histories of a theatrical work.
LFMC invites makers from various disciplines, both from within and beyond the collective, to join the conversation. The evening is hosted by the regular OWRU hosts Dionne Verwey and Brian Elstak.
