Metropole Orkest
When you think of an orchestra, you think of classical. But the Metropole Orkest doesn't play that. But it does play jazz, pop, soul, funk, cabaret, musicals, film music and world music. From now and from longer ago. The Metropole Orkest enjoys worldwide recognition as the professional pop and jazz orchestra and, with its unique line-up, plays a pioneering role.
The collaboration with Tank and the Bangas was almost inevitable because of shared musical relations. Both ensembles made music with artists such as Lalah Hathaway, Robert Glasper and Jacob Collier.

FESTIVAL LIEVE STAD,
Amsterdam is a city of many faces. Lieve Stad, – a celebration of theatre, art, and dialogue – reflects the dynamics of that metropolitan environment, in which the city itself is a source of inspiration. This festival, a collaboration between ITA and Meervaart, is about bringing people together, in the city, in the theatre, in society. How do we live together and what stories do all individuals and groups carry with them?
