Slowly, he gets to know the land and makes new friends. But even in this world, there are fools and setbacks. Before he finds peace in Yanasei, he must first confront something from his past that continues to haunt him.
Ryan Djojokarso about Yanasei
“Yanasei is a performance that can offer comfort to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. When children face loss, it is often deeply moving. Yanasei shows that death is part of life, which can help to find a place for grief.”
REVIEWS
Theaterkrant
"Djojokarso, the successor of Wies Bloemen as the new artistic director of Danstheater AYA, immediately makes a bold entrance."
Het Parool
"Yanasei’s journey to the afterlife is imaginative and playful."
Kidsproof
"Our Kidsproof reporter’s main conclusion: too short! Yanasei is not scary at all and is absolutely perfect for children. A harmonious, almost hypnotic dream world full of colorful, fantastically imagined creatures."
