Proceeds from performance of Yara's Wedding to earthquake victims of Morocco
The Nederlands Theater Festival, theatre ensemble NITE and Internationaal Theater Amsterdam will donate the proceeds of the latest performance of Yara's Wedding to the victims of the earthquake in Morocco.
The Nederlands Theater Festival, theatre ensemble NITE and Internationaal Theater Amsterdam will donate the entire proceeds of the final performance of Yara's Wedding on Saturday 16 September to the national Red Cross fundraising campaign via giro 6868. The widely acclaimed Yara's Wedding will be performed for the last time in Amsterdam on 14, 15 and 16 September during our festival.
Yara's Wedding, focusing on the wedding of Moroccan Yara, was selected by the jury of the Nederlands Theater Festival as one of the most impressive performances of last theatre season.
'My mother's village has been wiped out and colleagues at NITE and Club Guy & Roni are very worried about family, acquaintances and friends in Morocco. We would like to donate the proceeds from this benefit performance of Yara's Wedding. We hope for a big turnout,' says Guy Weizman, artistic and general director of NITE and Club Guy & Roni.
Yara's Wedding is a co-production of NITE, Club Guy & Roni, Asko Schönberg and Slagwerk Den Haag.
