The Neverending Story

Basje Boeckx has a rich imagination. Because of this, she is sometimes bullied. She steals the book 'The Neverending Story' and hides in an attic. There she reads about the adventures of the young hero Atréjoe, who must save the realm of Fantásia from the encroaching 'Nothing'. More and more, Basje's and Fantásia's worlds collide, until she finds herself in the story. She saves the little empress and gains great power. But does Basje know how to deal with this responsibility? And what role does the lucky dragon Foechoer play in the story?

This large venue performance is performed by seven actors, who play all those fantastic creatures with puppets and masks, and five musicians from Slagwerk Den Haag, among others.

Filiaal Theatermakers is Utrecht's youth theatre company. Our company gives space to imagination, so you see more than just your own reality. We show not only what we make, but also how we make it. This transparency stimulates the imagination. We do this interdisciplinary with play, (live) music and singing, puppets, objects, and (live video) images. Het Filiaal Theatermakers travels nationally and internationally, from Groningen to Goes and from Sydney to Shanghai.

How do you handle having almost nothing when you're used to having a lot? In this new family performance by Jetse Batelaan, you see people who have never really had to miss anything, slowly losing everything. As if something or someone wants to teach them a lesson.

A thundering dance and music theatre spectacle with the energy of the street. After previous successes, the Toneelmakerij is once again presenting a performance for families on the big stage, based on a world-famous classic.

Teach your parents the coolest 'TikTok moves' or tire them out by dancing to their once cool, but now terribly old-fashioned disco moves: we'll do a real dance battle!
