The Neverending Story
Basje Boeckx has a rich imagination. Because of this, she is sometimes bullied. She steals the book 'The Neverending Story' and hides in an attic. There she reads about the adventures of the young hero Atréjoe, who must save the realm of Fantásia from the encroaching 'Nothing'. More and more, Basje's and Fantásia's worlds collide, until she finds herself in the story. She saves the little empress and gains great power. But does Basje know how to deal with this responsibility? And what role does the lucky dragon Foechoer play in the story?
This large-venue performance is performed by 7 actors, who play all those fantastic creatures with puppets and masks, and 5 musicians from Slagwerk Den Haag, among others.

Filiaal Theatermakers is Utrecht's youth theatre company. Our company gives space to imagination, so you see more than just your own reality. We show not only what we make, but also how we make it. This transparency stimulates the imagination. We do this interdisciplinary with play, (live) music and singing, puppets, objects and (live video) images. Het Filiaal Theatermakers travels nationally and internationally, from Groningen to Goes and from Sydney to Shanghai.
