De Staat van de Stad 2024: Vallen en opstaan
Pakhuis de Zwijger / Internationaal Theater Amsterdam / Rabobank Amsterdam
On the eve of Amsterdam's 750th anniversary, we find ourselves, as a society and as a city, at a breaking point. The gap between rich and poor is growing, severe housing shortages prevail and trust in democracy and government is under considerable pressure. Many Amsterdammers wonder whether there is still room for them. In De Staat van de Stad 2024, we explore two possible scenarios: that of falling and that of rising. How do we ensure that society does not go down any further? What is needed to turn the tide and face the next 750 years stronger?
Run time 105 minutes, no intermission
