A world in change calls for interpretation
We live in a turbulent and uncertain time. Western hegemony is weakening, the digital world is expanding at high speed, and the climate crisis is putting existing power structures under pressure. At the same time, we are in a transition period in which old certainties are disappearing, and new ones have yet to emerge.-|-
In this theatre lecture, Geert Mak attempts to make sense of these shifts. Europe faces crucial choices, international relations are changing, and democratic debate is under strain. What does this mean for our future? And how should we relate to a world that is becoming less and less predictable? Many people are searching for guidance and clarity. Mak provides this, in a clear and direct way, without avoiding complexity.
