The invisible front of digital war
What do you need to know about Russian hackers and Chinese spies? And how do American tech companies threaten Dutch democracy? In this gripping theatre lecture, investigative journalist Huib Modderkolk takes you to the front lines of digital warfare.
He shows how Russia systematically attempts to infiltrate critical infrastructure and undermine democratic processes through influence operations and data theft. At the same time, a less visible but equally impactful strategy unfolds from China, which gains access to sensitive systems through quiet and complex routes.-|-
On top of that stands the power of American tech companies and an increasingly unpredictable geopolitical context, raising the question of where influence begins and ends.
Modderkolk makes this invisible struggle tangible and shows how intelligence services respond to threats that largely escape view, but are very real.
