Love, hatred and fear of misplaced jokes.
Not a morning person? Do you sometimes hate everything and everyone: politics, fellow road users, the guests on the Smartest Human? Jealous of a hermit hiding in the vast forests of Alaska?
Recognisable? Then you are ready for this Mission Molière, a radical adaptation of the French comedy De Mensenhater. A palette of laughter: from poisonous green to liberating.

Bitterness, jealousy, hatred and cynicism are not the emotions we quickly show because they usually don't make you popular ‑ unless your name is Hans Teeuwen - Brave citizens prefer to keep up the appearance of optimism and benevolence, in the workplace, at home, at the sports club.

A true misanthrope doesn’t give a hoot for all that "nice guy" and good intentions. He hates and denounces all social hypocrisy with poisonous green humour and, in the process, also immortally ridicules himself. That is why we take Molière's Mensenhater
as a starting point but do our own thing with it.
Piet Menu (artistic director) about Mission Molière
'Finally a good laugh again with a comedy for the big hall, that must be allowed during such a pandemic. Sarah and Joachim bite into their repertoire and confront the writer with our zeitgeist. The result: a corrosive mirror that beats, anoints and makes us laugh heartily.'
