A science fiction thriller about privacy, love and freedom.
In a strictly supervised über consumer society, Boy A2001 falls in love with Girl E8904. He has to choose whether he wants to live on as a number in 'The System' or whether he dares to make sacrifices to live in freedom. The text is from Daan Windhorst, known for the youth performance It's My Mouth, I Can Say What I Want To and Watskeburt?!, A puppet musical about hip-hop formation De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig (The Youth of Today).
Recensies
'Revolutions is een verbluffende theatrale ‘experience’ over een wereld waarin de ongelijkheid een toppunt bereikt.'
- De Volkskrant ****
'Vincent Linthorst, als de tragische CEO/dictator, weet met zijn ongrijpbare spel genoeg tegenwicht te bieden aan de fantasierijke vormgeving.'
- NRC Handelsblad ***
'Het openingsbeeld van de voorstelling is overweldigend. Games, filmbeelden en toneel lopen vloeiend in elkaar over.'
- Trouw ***
Director
Noël Fischer
In her work Noël Fischer likes to work with themes that children can relate to through their own experiences. Her shows contain exuberant imagery, are sometimes grotesque and interlaced with plenty of humor.
Daan Windhorst wrote the text for Revolutions. He previously wrote the lyrics for, among other things, the highly praised performance It's My Mouth, I Can Say What I Want to and Watskeburt, a puppet musical about hip-hop formation De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig (The Youth of Today). After the success of Lord of the Flies (regie: Noël Fischer) and Bloedlink (regie: Casper Vandeputte) REVOLUTIONS is the third show in the 'coming-of-age-plays' by NTyoung.
