A young dancer-choreographer gives a new shape to Zeitigung, a piece by world-famous choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, set to live piano music by Bach, Brahms, Schönberg and Webern.
Young dancer/choreographer to take on Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's choreography.
De Keersmaeker has left her mark on contemporary dance with an impressive series of choreographies. If there is one characteristic that unites all her work, it is the intense relationship between dance and music, from medieval polyphony to The Beatles, with a great love for the classics. In her choreography, she makes the score visible, as it were. In the revival of Zeitigung, pianist Alain Franco performs the music of Bach, Brahms, Schönberg and Webern live.
Ten years after the original, young choreographer and dancer Louis Nam Le Van Ho will take on De Keersmaeker's choreography with his own dance style in this new version. Le Van Ho's contribution builds a bridge to a new generation of makers and thus offers a different perspective on De Keersmaeker's ongoing search for the interface between music and dance.
