In this anti-fairy tale you see Bambi as you have never seen him before. The innocent deer we know from the Disney film makes way for a dangerous animal with sharp teeth, played by Benny Claessens. With around him six lusty hunters who all claim a piece of his sweet innocence.

Bambi as you have never seen him before.

Bambi was originally written as a 'book for adults' by the Austrian Felix Salten. It is perhaps the saddest story ever: a sweet little deer grows up without his mum. In this Bambi, director Sarah Moeremans and writer Joachim Robbrecht wonder why that is so sad? Would we rather be a victim than a perpetrator?
