KINGS...come home
In KINGS...come home, you are drawn into the compelling story of a family repeatedly forced to leave their home behind. The reasons for their departure, rooted in the traces of our colonial past, are laid out like a labyrinth in the performance. On their journey, they return to the motherland, a journey to the roots, where the whispers of ancestors converge with their descendants, whose souls breathe anew in the language of their origins as they balance between the familiar and the strange.

In this ongoing search for grip and a sense of home, a world unfolds in which the traces of history, power structures, political forces as well as resilience and connection are strongly felt. As they search for an anchor, hidden patterns of desire, love, pain and hope reveal themselves, intertwined with timeless themes of identity and yearning for a home of your own.
