Alice in Wonderland
Alice, who's usually very confident, finds herself lost among seas of tears and rose gardens. One moment she’s tiny, the next she’s towering. No matter how sure she thinks she is, she can’t keep up with the panicked rabbit, the disapproving caterpillar, and the headless cat. To make matters worse, there’s an intrusive alter-ego that challenges and contradicts her until Alice is completely dizzy. The further she goes, the less she understands herself. Is she still the real Alice? Does she even exist? In a dazzling journey through a bizarre world, Alice searches for her own rhythm.-|-
Following the smash hit Giselle and The Hot Peaches, Toneelmakerij and DOX are joining forces once again. This time in a dreamlike coming-of-age story about letting go of what you already know, finding your voice, and the power of not knowing. Or as the Mad Hatter says: We’re all mad here! Let yourself be enchanted by this contemporary children’s play: relatable, funny, and... irresistibly magical.
