Oh oh oh dennenboom (6+)
Every year, millions of trees disappear into living rooms, wrapped in lights and decorations. A ritual that feels natural, yet is rarely questioned.
In Oh oh oh dennenboom, the perspective shifts: it is no longer humans looking at the forest, but the forest looking back. What if what we call “cosy” is, for nature itself, an inescapable intervention?

The forest speaks back
The pine forest transforms into a community of voices. No longer a silent backdrop to the winter season, but a living whole in which every tree has its own character.
Some trees want to stay rooted. Others are looking for an escape. And some begin to question their place in a world that cuts and relocates them year after year.-|-
Kim Karssen and Hendrik Kegels build a playful, musical and absurdist world in which the forest talks back. Humour opens the door, but behind it lies an uneasy question: how natural is it really to use nature as decoration?
Reviews
De Standaard
It’s brilliant how *Oh oh oh dennenboom* brings together all the clichés of traditional children’s theatre and reworks them into a distinctive musical
de Volkskrant
‘Oh oh oh dennenboom’ is a delightfully rebellious anti-Christmas play in which the fir trees rise up in revolt
