Truth as an unstoppable force
Studio Antigone presents Sophocles’ Oedipus
as a musical and intense journey into guilt, insight and inevitability. As the city slowly descends into chaos, a story unfolds in which every step towards truth is also a step towards self-confrontation.
The classical text is retained in a contemporary, musical form, with the chorus returning as a central element. Sung passages, inspired by both modern compositions and ancient musical sources, add an extra layer of tension and timelessness.
Oedipus becomes an urgent question for the present: what happens when truth is no longer something we seek, but something that inevitably catches up with us?
