About
In addition to a large ensemble of thirteen dancers - young talents and familiar faces - Conny Janssen is collaborating with Maartje Teussink again for this performance. She composes new work especially for BROOS, which will be heard live. The choreographer and the composer worked together earlier in 2016 during the location exhibition COURAGE in the Ferro Dome. Teussink’s music can be described as lyrical and alternative. She creates musical atmospheres and soundscapes in which she explores the boundaries and the combination of different musical influences.
The work of artistic director Conny Janssen is known for the strong physical and theatrical power of the dancers and the surprising diversity of her performances, in which the focus is always on dance. Her work has been widely recognised and can be seen at various festivals. In addition, Conny Janssen Danst is a breeding ground for young talent. Both young dancers and young dance makers have the opportunity to develop within the professional environment of the company. The company is therefore an important ambassador of modern dance.
