A seat at the table
In 2019, A Seat at the Table had a successful theatre tour with sold-out halls. The performance was named one of the ten best productions of that year by the Dutch Theatre Festival, nominated for the BNG Bank Theatre Prize and awarded the Toneelschrijfprijs (Stage writing prize).
Start time 20:00
Duration 70 Minutes
Location Grote zaal
The performance is based on personal experiences with racism. Experiences that are sometimes so absurd that it is laughable. The insidious and often unconscious racism, well-intentioned or not, ensures that there is continuous discrimination based on appearance and that time and again it is emphasized that you are different. In short, a topical and urgent performance in the fight against everyday racism and exclusion.
-|-For this success revival, theatre maker Saman Amini will be joined on stage by a new cast, consisting of actress Quiah Shilue and actors Alwin Pulinckx and Anton de Bies.
