The program blends classics by Hans van Manen, Eric Gauthier, and Sir Kenneth MacMillan with four world premieres from rising choreographers Zoë Greten, Luca Abdel-Nour, Rutkay Özpinar, and Ernst Meisner. Contemporary dance, hip-hop, Turkish influences, and classical technique collide in a vibrant, versatile, and daring performance. MacMillan’s second movement of Concerto showcases the dancers’ serene, technical precision alongside the raw, urgent energy of the new works.-|-
Humor and playfulness take center stage in Eric Gauthier’s Ballet 102, the cheeky follow-up to his hilarious Ballet 101, a wild crash course in ballet. The evening culminates with Hans van Manen’s In the Future, a masterful finale where color, bodies, humor, and sheer craftsmanship collide. Ballet like you’ve never seen it before: fresh, immediate, and irresistible.
