Facing Transitions
Facing Transitions shows the first contours of change. A performance about the moment when the old is no longer certain and the new has not yet taken shape. About a body in flux, habits shifting, and certainties slowly dissolving.

Facing Transitions
Choreographer Ann Van den Broek does not start from her own perspective this time, but from the performers themselves. What does transition mean to them personally? With each dancer, a different theme is explored, such as a changing body, ageing, menopause, a shift in work, or identity.
These individual stories form a living collection of transitions, both small and large, everyday and profound. By weaving the fragments together, a layered portrait of change emerges, in which personal experiences touch and strengthen one another.-|-
The performers move between their own stories and those of others, revealing unexpected connections and contrasts. In this way, change is not a single line, but a multi-voiced movement.
Facing Transitions is a prelude to the performance Transitions, in which this theme is further developed. This work mainly reveals the process itself: vulnerable, powerful, and constantly in motion.
