The Current
The Current is a sensory total experience in which club culture is brought into the theatre. In a pulsing space, performers and audience move through a shared landscape of music, light and energy, where the boundary between watching and participating gradually dissolves.

Where the night takes you and does not let go
The Current by Club Guy & Roni, Boris Acket and HIIIT is part of The Human Odyssey, an ongoing artistic trajectory that explores how people create meaning and connection through collective physical experiences.
The performance brings the physical and cultural codes of club culture onto the stage and approaches raving as embodied resistance and an expression of freedom. In an electronic environment, performers reconstruct a night in which pain, trauma and segregation are left behind on the dance floor, while they move towards liberation and shared release.
NITE actor and singer Sarah Janneh interprets texts by South African author Ronelda S. Kamfer. Live percussion and electronic music by producer Max Frimout and Stanislav Tolkachev form an intense and physical soundscape.-|-
The performance unfolds within an immersive spatial installation by visual artist Boris Acket. The audience moves through a shifting landscape of corridors, platforms and smaller rooms, where performers, musicians and spectators share the same environment. Light, sound and architecture form a living labyrinth in which perspectives constantly shift.
This creates an experience in which the tension between individuality and collectivity remains continuously present.
