Flamingo
In FLAMINGO, choreographer Remy Tilburg builds a powerful and visual dance universe in which nature speaks back. Dancers transform into mythical flamingo-like figures, evoking an alternative reality that exists between imagination and reality.
The performance is a poetic and contemporary story about evolution, freedom, and identity. A 21st-century dance fairy tale in which the fragile balance between humans and nature is constantly visible, and the impact of our world becomes physically present.

Where human and nature shift
FLAMINGO draws inspiration from fairy tales, comic books, and the choreographer’s Surinamese background. In this world, flamingos not only take centre stage but also reshape the way we view human behaviour and collective existence.-|-
The performance explores how identity is formed in relation to environment, nature, and others. The dancers move between human and mythical being, creating a universe in which reality and imagination continuously overlap.
FLAMINGO is made for anyone who loves layered dance, strong imagery, and stories that linger long after they end.
