De Eindtijd Revue
Following the success of De Gabber Opera, URLAND storms the theatres with a grotesque meta-show about the end of the world. De Eindtijd Revue is an apocalyptic and ominous theatrical feast in which all possible endings and stories clash. URLAND's credo is 'DESPAIR MAKES YOU WANT TO LIVE'. And this performance asks: how do we learn to despair? How do we prepare?

De Eindtijd Revue
The apocalypse keeps popping up in human history, and seems to be a social, historical phenomenon. From the Ragnarok to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, from the Mayans to today's Doomsday preppers. It is sometimes a promise, sometimes a warning, or yet more of an incantation.
URLAND invites quirky performers and forms a scratchy occasional collective (theatre-maker Vincent van der Valk, percussionist Jens Bouttery, opera singer Bernadeta Astari, ea), speaking many theatre languages.

We see a theatre company preparing for the extreme. The multidisciplinary performance is one big warm-up for De Eindtijd Revue that is about to take place that evening, and in the run-up to the start time, the revue passes the revue. URLAND clings to the fact that in mythology, every ending also heralds a new beginning. The warm-up is complete. Darkness is onset. Despair gives birth.
