Introdans celebrates its fiftieth anniversary with all its dancers, in ballets by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Mauro Bigonzetti and with the magnificent singers of A Filetta and Assurd - Enza Pagliara - Enza Alessandra Prestia. With Tutti, the company presents two absolute audience favourites as their anniversary gift.

Cantata
Down-to-earth, raw, and passionate – that is the best way to describe the dances in Mauro Bigonzetti’s Cantata. In this rousing power piece inspired by the infectious, abrasive live music of the women's folk group Assurd - Enza Pagliara - Enza Alessandra Prestia, the choreographer brings various characters from an Italian village to life. Men and women rival each other in powerful ensemble dances, legs swinging in all directions and upper bodies furiously shaken about. It’s not hard to be moved by this exuberant ode to Italian folklore, love, and perhaps especially madness. Cantata never fails to be received by standing ovations.
In Memoriam
After some deaths in his family, the globally acclaimed Flemish-Moroccan choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui made In Memoriam as a tribute to his ancestors. The result is both serene and hallucinatory. The music of the polyphonic ensemble A Filetta and the video footage of Gilles Delmas play an important role in this.

We started out with a small part of In Memoriam in 2010 and have kept building our relationship with him over the years. Today, this prominent artist feels completely at home with us.”
